Job Description

The Claims Team Leader is a highly skilled and knowledgeable leader tasked with ensuring superior customer service by overseeing the daily activities of a team of mechanical claims adjusters. Primary duties include providing guidance to the team on claim decisions, approval of high dollar claims and ensuring that all claims are handled professionally, accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt claim service by maintaining established phone and payment metrics

• Take escalated calls from repair facilities, agents and customers

• Assist in training of new or less experienced adjusters

• Provide coverage guidance and authorization assistance to adjusters

• Ensure proper interpretation of coverage, determination of liability and proper loss cost control

• Review all claims from TPA’s and either authorize or submit to upper management for additional review

• Coach direct reports as needed

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job has supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
